What's Hot: Great quality, well built, slim and light.

What's Not: Nothing we could find.

Tom Bihn makes durable bags and backpacks, and now they are offering smaller sized bags for carrying the iPad, iPad 2 and other tablets. The Tom Bihn Breve for iPad and iPad 2 is a super slim shoulder bag that can store either the 1st gen iPad or the iPad 2 as well as any tablet that?s 10.1" or smaller. The Breve comes with a shoulder strap that's removable, so you can wear it either on your shoulder or put it inside of a backpack or a travel bag when the shoulder strap is removed. The Tom Bihn Breve is very light and comes in three colors: Steel, Black and Kiwi.

Tom Bihn makes several bags and a sleeve for the iPad 2 but the Breve strikes a balance between a slim form and providing great protection. The Breve for iPad 2 is made with U.S. 1050d ballistic nylon that?s super sturdy and can withstand lots of bumps, scratches and daily wear and tear. If you take your iPad 2 to the park, on campus or on daily bus or train compute, your iPad 2 will feel very safe in the Breve. The bag also has lots of padding on the inside, using open-cell foam that?s laminated to the soft brushed nylon. You can feel how cushy the padding is by squeezing the bag.

The Tom Bihn Breve has three pockets, two in the front and one in the back. The larger pocket for your iPad 2 is actually on the back as the case doesn?t open on top like a laptop bag would. This design actually gives the bag more of a streamlined look and hides the back pocket to store your iPad 2 safely. The pocket is large enough for either the original iPad or the slimmer iPad 2 in a slim case. We actually tried putting other 10.1? tablets like the Motorola Xoom, and found that every one of them fits just fine in the Breve. The front two pockets come in two different sizes. The larger one can store your charger and cable, or a portable keyboard or an iPhone 4; and the left one is big enough for USB drives, earbuds, keys and business cards.

The interior of the Tom Bihn Breve is very soft and will definitely not scratch the iPad 2. The stitching is very strong and there is a reinforcement strip sewn on securely protecting the seams of the two front pockets. The edges of the Breve also have reinforcement inserts and they feel thick and strong. When you put the bag down with your iPad 2 in it, the strong edges will absorb any shock and keep your tablet safe in the pocket. The two strap holders also have quality stitching and can easily hold the weight of your tablet and accessories with the included 1? webbing strap. The strap has a very good length that?s easily adjustable.

The Tom Bihn Breve comes with heavy-duty zippers that are in YKK style and have inside protectors that prevent scratching your tablet when you open or close the zippers. The Breve feels very sturdy with strong material and quality build. The bag currently comes in three colors, and all accents, zippers, edges and straps on these bags are black.

The Tom Bihn Breve is both very slim and extremely light for a bag that can store a 10.1? tablet, a phone and accessories. The bag measures 13 x 10 inches and weighs less than 10 oz. with the shoulder strap.

If you are carrying your iPad 2 daily to work or school, the Tom Bihn Breve is a good bag for you to take on your daily compute. It can protect your tablet from the bumps and bruises on a train or bus, and around the office or in a park. The pocket for the tablet is big enough for either iPad models and other 10? tablets, and the front pockets come in handy for accessories. The bag won?t accommodate thicker accessories or books, so it?s designed for those who travel light. Should you have a lot more to carry, the Breve is slim enough to be a sleeve for your iPad 2, jut take off the shoulder strap, you can stuff it in your backpack. The bag is super sturdy, extremely light and very well padded. It?s made to last you for years to come.
