Looks like HP's moving things up a bit or the rumors were misguided. The first webOS tablet will hit the streets July 1, and pre-orders start June 19 (because every dad wants a TouchPad?). The 16 gig will sell for $499 and the 32 gig for $599, paralleling iPad 2 pricing and Galaxy Tab 10.1 pricing. This is a WiFi-only 10" tablet with a very, very sweet user interface-- we can't wait to get our hands on the shipping version after seeing it at HP-Palm's even a few months ago.
Folks in Northern Europe will also be able to pre-order on June 19, and HP said that an AT&T 3G version will be coming later this year. The tablet runs webOS 3.0 on a 1.2GHz Snapdragon dual core CPU (same CPU as the HTC Sensation 4G and upcoming HTC EVO 3D). It has a 1024 x 768 resolution 9.7" display just like the iPad and WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth and a GPS.
