Stop me if you've heard this one: a woman walks into an Apple Store, and... she breaks her nose on the glass!
Not funny? Alas, it is not a joke.
MacNN reports that not only did 83-year-old Evelyn Paswall of Queens New York break her nose after walking into a clear glass window at Apple's Manhasset retail store, she is now suing Apple for $1 million as a result.
The suit contends that Apple was "negligent...in allowing a clear, see-through glass wall and/or door to exist without proper warning." Due to Ms. Paswall's concern about the lack of warning, MTR would like to provide the following public service announcement:
If you are planning to walk into a window, please wear appropriate protection for your nose, face, and other vital organs. Thank you.
I suppose there's a joke to be made here about this being Microsoft's last chance at Windows being a real threat to Apple, but I think I'll pass on that one.
