WaterField Designs makes high quality cases and bags. Their new The Indy Bag for iPad works with any iPad model as well as other 10" tablets. It can hold several additional devices as well as your daily articles including your wallet, keys and more. The Indy Bag for iPad is made with elegant distressed leather with gold nylon interior and it includes a strong shoulder strap. The Indy Bag for iPad comes in brown and black with 6 accent colors options and matching buckles and strap holders.

Anyone who's fond of distressed leather or the old Coach bags will like the look of The Indy material. The leather feels sturdy yet not too thick, and the bag has strong gold nylon interior that's often used in WaterField's bags and cases. The Indy Bag comes in Grizzly Brown and Black colors with 6 tasteful accent colors for the exterior pocket. Though the distressed leather gives the case a rugged look, it actually has an elegant presence thanks to the shape, the clean design and nice accent that goes well with the bag's color. It's not super masculine but more metrosexual and tasteful.

The Indy Bag is quite slim since it doesn't have thick padding. The bag offers a large center compartment that can easily fit a 10.1" tablet even in a case. In fact if you have an 11" thin notebook, you can fit it in the bag. We tried several tablets including the new iPad 3rd Gen, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Asus Transformer Pad TF300, Acer Iconia Tab A510 and more, and the bag had no trouble covering them even when they were in various cases. We tried the 13" MacBook Air and the Dell XPS 13 with The Indy, they both stuck out a bit preventing the zipper to close.

Even though The Indy Bag looks slim, it has two additional pockets that can easily store any smartphones even if they are large ones. In the picture below, we stored the Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx and the iPhone 4S (in a case) in the two pockets inside of the bag, and there was still more room to spare. So if you have a large phone like the Samsung Galaxy Note, it'd fit in one of the pockets fine. If you don't want to keep your phone inside of the zipper, The Indy Bag offers another pocket hiding behind the front compartment for quick access when there are incoming calls. The front compartment is large enough for a wallet plus a notebook, keys and additional items, and while it's not very roomy, it's quite long. For more secure location outside of the zippered central compartment, The Indy Bag has a back zipped compartment, also long enough for a book, wallet, papers and more. While the front pocket is lined with Microsuede soft material, the back zippered pocket has the same gold nylon lining shared on the inside of the main compartment.

The Indy Bag comes with a strong shoulder strap that matches the bag's color. The strap has adjustable length and feels very well made with serious stitching that can hold the weight of your bag's content easily. Both the buckle and security hooks come in two color options to match the bag's colors: chrome and nickel. The stitching on the entire bag in fact is strong and very even, and the zippers have smooth actions.

It's hard to find anything not to like about The Indy for iPad. The tablet bag is stylish, the material lasting and the design highly functional. As a gear bag, it's slim yet protective. You can use around town or travel with your tablet, phones, ebook readers and more. The bag doesn't have super thick padding, but the tablet compartment is large enough for you to keep the tablet in a case and still fit nicely in the bag. The two color options along with six accent colors work together tastefully and the shoulder strap is strong to hold a full bag of gear.
