CrazyOnDigital has released several form fitting cases for the new iPad 3rd gen. The Rotating Stand Leather Case is a super protective case that comes in various color options. It has a form fitting hard shell case and a thick front cover. The case includes a built-in stand that can position your new iPad in either landscape or portrait orientations. It's also very affordable, priced at $29.98.
The robust Rotating Stand Leather Case for the new iPad is made with PU leather that looks like fine grained leather. The portfolio style case has two very protective sides: the right side is a hard shell tablet holder with PU leather exterior and the left side is a screen cover that has strong inserts and serious padding. The two parts of the case connect at the back with a strong hard plastic ring that allows the front cover to rotate to work like a stand. The front cover has nice soft lining on the interior and it shuts securely with a wide elastic strap that matches the case color.
The Rotating Stand Leather Case for the new iPad 3rd gen fits the tablet like a glove, and it works with the iPad 2 as well. The hard shell tablet holder is easy to use, and holds the tablet securely. The case feels super protective thanks to the hard shell and the thick cover, but it does add some bulk as well as 11.8 ounces of weight to the tablet. It can certainly prevent any scratches, bumps and pokes to the new iPad while stored in your backpack or travel bag, and help absorb a good amount of impact shock as well.
The Rotating Stand Leather Case for the new iPad 3rd gen has perfect cutouts for all ports and buttons on the tablet. The hard shell case makes it easier to tailor the cutouts for each intended areas. The cutouts also taper along with the curves on the new iPad, making the ports such as the 30-pin connector, the side volume buttons and screen lock button, and the top power button and the audio jack easy to use. You should have any trouble using any charging/syncing cable or 3.5mm headset with the new iPad while in the Rotating Stand Leather Case. The case also offers a nice tapered cut for the rear speaker grill and a cutout center around the rear camera.
The thick front cover not only functions as a serious protection for the display but also works as a tablet stand. The two grooves in the thick padding give the tablet in the hard shell case two viewing angles, and the back plastic ring allows you to rotate the tablet and stand it in either portrait or landscape orientation. So the stand provides total of 4 viewing angles. The stand is very easy to use. There is a hidden function in the front cover, and that's the magnetic screen wake/sleep function. It works pretty well, and it doesn't accidently active when you fold the front cover back.
As with many CrazyOnDigital cases, the Rotating Stand Leather Case for the new iPad is a very affordable case that's super protective and very functional. We do like the hard shell case and the thick cover, but some users might not like the thickness and weight they add. If you are looking for a protective case to take on the road, the Rotating Stand Leather Case is certainly worth a look. The stand is very easy to use and you have access to all buttons and ports. The case comes in a variety of colors including black, brown, pink and red.
