Tablet Case Review: Noreve Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T Leather Case Review

Editor's Ratings (1-5): 4.5

What's Hot: Form fitting, high quality leather, well built, slim and light, available in different textures and colors.

What's Not: Not too much shock absorption should you drop the tablet.

For the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 users who want to carry their tablet along with the keyboard dock, there're very few cases available. The Noreve tradition B leather case offers a form fitting carrying solution for both the tablet and keyboard, and it uses high quality leather that you can customize in both texture and color. The case is highly functional and protects the Android tablet and the keyboard well. It fits all Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 models and it's also slim and light.

Design

The Noreve Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 case is form fitting to carry both the Android tablet and the keyboard dock in a notebook style. In the Nappa leather version, the case has smooth leather exterior and embossed leather interior. The case holds the keyboard dock by the wrist rest areas and shuts securely with a leather tab with a magnetic snap. The wrist rest covers are very rigid, and they create a slightly better angle for typing on the keyboard and don't block any keys or the trackpad. The bottom of the case is rigid, but not as much as the wrist rest covers; and the top cover has extra soft padding as it protects the more vulnerable tablet. The case is slim and feels like it hugs the keyboard, and it's also lightweight at 8.2 ounces. The case comes in two parts sewn together with strong and even stitching. A small metal Noreve logo lives on the front cover.

As with most Noreve cases, the Noreve Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 leather case is available in many colors and several texture options. The default Nappa Noir leather case has smooth leather with embossed interior. It feels soft in hand. The Nappa leather collection comes in 12 color options and it sells for of $83. The case's also available in Couture selection which is in Nappa leather but has sewn on patterns; and it's also available in the same 12 color options as the regular Nappa selection. If you need more texture on the leather, the Ambition selection offers much grainy pattern but it's only available in three colors. The Exception collection offers suede-like texture and it comes in four colors; and the Illumination series offers high gloss shiny surface in three color options. The additional selections to the default Nappa selection cost a bit more.

Features

The design of the Noreve Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 ensures your tablet is very functional while being protected by the case. Since the Noreve case covers mostly the top and bottom of the bundle, it leaves all sides of the tablet and the keyboard dock open. You can certainly use your sync/charge cable, audio cable, connectivity cable and adapters with the case on. There's a cutout for the memory slot on the keyboard dock as well, so you can use a memory card without taking it out of the case.

The case doesn't cover the back hinge that connects the Android tablet to the keyboard dock. This isn't just so they can make the case as slim as possible, but also because the hinge works as a part of the stand when you open the Android tablet in the dock. The cutout for the hinge allows the stand to work freely without getting in its way.

The case is designed to be form fitting to the TF700 Android tablet with the keyboard dock, and it doesn't fit if you only want to carry the tablet. The Noreve should fit all TF700 models in the series including the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T, Infinity 700, Infinity 700 LTE and Infinity 700 3G.

Conclusion

Since the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700's release we haven't seen many form fitting cases for the Android tablet. The Noreve leather case not only is form fitting but also accommodates the keyboard dock for those who want to carry both like a notebook. The leather is high quality and the case is made with care. We like the large selection of leather textures and colors, and the slim and lightweight nature of the case. Your Android tablet is very functional while inside of the Noreve case and well protected at the same time.
