Griffin's Survivor case has been very popular with device users who work in harsh environment and the military. The case offers hard plastic shell as well as heavy-duty silicone for shock absorption and structural protection. But going even further, the Griffin Survivor case seals the ports, buttons, cameras as well as the display, preventing wind and rain blowing into the device as well as sand and dust getting into the ports. The Griffin Survivor case for the iPhone 5 comes in 13 colors in two-tone combos.

The Griffin Survivor Case for the iPhone 5 has two layers of protection plus a front belt-clip that provides extra protection for the display. The inner layer is a shatter resistant polycarbonate frame that covers the entire phone including the front glass. The front clear cover is thick enough to protect the screen from scratches but thin enough for you to use the touch screen easily. Outside the plastic shell, the Griffin Survivor Case has a layer of heavy duty silicone cover that integrates nicely with the hard shell. The silicone case has reinforced corners and sides to provide excellent structural support and provide shock protection should you drop the phone while in the case. The two layers integrates well together thanks to the design: you put the phone in the bottom half of the hard shell, cover it with the silicone cover, then clip the front cover to lock the silicone cover in place. It's easy to install and everything is secured.

Another layer of protection for the display comes in the form of belt clip. The strong plastic clip latches onto the top and bottom of the hard shell and creates a barrier for the screen. The long clip is easy to use, and it can lock the opening so your phone plus the case's weight won't drag the clip to accidentally open. The case is actually not super bulky for the protection it provides and it weights 4.2 ounces.

The Griffin Survivor Case for the iPhone 5 meets US DoD Standard 810F which means it can withstand high wind and rain, survive a 6" drop on flat concrete surface, block sand and dust as well as vibration. It's not waterproof however. The Griffin Survivor Case covers all buttons on the phone but provides raised silicone rubber pieces that make it easy to use the button under the cover. The audio out jack, sync/charge port and silence button access as well as the rear camera/flash hide under silicone covers. These cover seal the ports from getting dirty and damaged, but when you need to use the ports, just pull back the cover and plug your cables in.

The Griffin Survivor Case for the iPhone 5 is unique and rugged case that's easy to use and super protective. The case offers three layers of protection and covers the entire iPhone 5. Ports and buttons are all under protection and the phone can survive 6" drop on a flat concrete surface. We like the design of the case and the two tone color combos that give you 13 choices. If you work in harsh environment, hike and play outdoors and your phone gets exposed to rain, dust and water splashes, the Griffin Survivor Case is an deal case to protect the iPhone 5.
