iPhone Case Review: Felix HandHold Case for iPhone 5s Review
      #45956 - 01/24/14 02:01 PM

The Felix HandHold case for the iPhone 5s is a bumper style case with an extra hand, or fingers of a hand on the back to hold bills, IDs or credit cards. The case protects the sides of the iPhone 5s and comes in six color combos.

Design

The Felix HandHold Case for iPhone 5s is made with hard polycarbonate and coated with rubber for better grip. The case comes in two pieces and it's easy to snap it on but it's quite difficult to take it off. The bumper case covers all four sides and corners of the iPhone 5s and it fits snuggly on both the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5s. The Felix HandHold Case for iPhone 5s is thicker than the slim bumper case from Apple, and it feels sturdier and stronger at protecting the phone from bumps and shocks.

The Felix HandHold Case for iPhone 5s has a two-tone design and comes in either white or black with different side colors and back colors. The front edges of the case reach higher than the front glass, and when you put the phone face down, the screen won't touch any flat surface. The case is a little too tight on the front, as you can see in the photo, that it pushes against our screen protector and raises it up from the corners.

Features

The Felix HandHold Case for iPhone 5s is a functional case while protecting the phone. The case covers the power button and the volume buttons to protect them from wear and tear. The case's buttons make it easy to use the phone's buttons. The case has a cutout for the silence button and the bottom of the case has a long cutout for the audio port, speaker, mic and the Lightning port. Your phone might not fit in any alarm clock, dock or speaker if the Lightning port is too shallow as the case adds some thickness at the bottom of the phone.

The most interesting feature on the Felix HandHold Case for iPhone 5s is the back ribs that look like flattened fingers and can hold bills or cards. The case comes with a film protector for the back of your phone, so that you won't scratch the surface when you store or take out items from the holder on the back. The space allows one or two credit cards, or an ID card with a folded bill. If these are the things you store o the back, the rear camera and flash should be in the clear for you to take photos and use the flash.

Conclusion

The Felix HandHold Case for iPhone 5s has a unique look and functions as a sturdy bumper case as well as a thin wallet. The two-tone case looks attractive and the hard shell casing can protect the phone from bumps and shocks. The surface of the case is grippy and it comes with a back film protector. The biggest issue we had with the case in our tests was it fit too snuggly and that made it hard to take the case off and it pushed the screen protector off the corners.

What's Hot: Sturdy and colorful, comes with film protector for the back, space for credit cards and bills.
What's Not: Very hard to take off, too tight a fit to work with some screen protectors.
