Paranormal Agency 2 is a hidden object adventure game that puts you in the role of a paranormal investigator. Collect/use items, solve puzzles, and find hidden objects; It's all here in classic hidden object adventure fashion.
Paranormal Agency: The Ghosts of Wayne Mansion (Paranormal Agency 2) is a sequel, but only in the sense that you play the same character in the same role of ghost hunter. This time, you must investigate strange goings-on at Stately Wayne Manor, er, I mean Wayne Mansion (apologies to Batman). Your adventure begins when you crash your junker into a tree just outside the sprawling estate. Seasoned hidden object adventurers will easily be able to skip the tutorial and dive right into the game. As you'd expect, there's items to find and use, puzzles to solve, and hidden object searching to be done. Paranormal Agency 2 hits all the necessary notes for a satisfying hidden object adventure experience; two difficulty levels, a generous hint system, retina display graphics (on supported devices), moderately challenging puzzles (that can be skipped), the ability to zoom on hidden object scenes, and Game Center Achievements. Paranormal Agency 2 doesn't break any new ground in the gameplay department. This is not a bad thing. Instead, the developers have chosen to offer a familiar and satisfying experience for fans of the genre in an atmospheric and spooky setting. While they didn't monkey with a winning formula, they did manage to include almost 100 scenes and 12 puzzles, so expect to get plenty of content for your $7. G5 finished things off with a well-organized interface so if you're confused, it won't be anybody's fault but your own.
The graphics of Paranormal Agency 2 are up to G5's usual standards. On my retina iPad Mini everything was sharp, crisp, and very easy on the eyes. Even the hidden objects were easy to identify, and the zoom function actually made things larger without making them blurrier!
The soundtrack does a great job of adding atmosphere and suspense, although I prefer things a bit more subdued for games like this. This is a matter of taste, however, and the music is very well-done. Sound effects are few and far between, and mostly consist of ambient sounds and the occasional click of a tool or item as it is being used. I find this works very well in games like this as sound effects can easily be overdone, causing you to reach for the mute switch. Thankfully, all conversation is handled via text rather than voiceover. Although some may prefer to hear spoken dialogue, I find it distracting and a bit too slow.
In-App Purchases (IAPs)
Aside from the the full game unlock for $6.99, Paranormal Agency 2 offers no IAPs; buy it once, play it as much as you want, at whatever pace you want.
Paranormal Agency 2 doesn't attempt to remake the hidden object adventure genre. Instead, it offers a familiar and satisfying experience for fans of the genre, and can be played at whatever pace you like. If you enjoy these types of games, you will likely enjoy Paranormal Agency 2.

Playing Hints and Tips:
The contents of certain locations will change subtly as you progress through the game so expect to do a bit of backtracking to find everything you need. If you don't know where to go, tap the hint button. It will not consume a hint unless you are at a location where there is something to do. Seriously; Use this.
