Ted Baker 4.7" iPhone 6 Hex Case Review
      #47114 - 10/06/14 07:54 PM

Proporta offers a good collection of cases for the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in wide variety of styles and designs. The Ted Baker London collection stands out with its style and workmanship in cases like the flowery Fall/Winter women's collection and the more understated yet stylish Hex faux leather case. The Ted Baker 4.7" iPhone 6 Hex Case comes in two solid colors, black and brown, and it protects the phone well without adding much bulk to the slim iPhone 6.

Design

The Ted Baker 4.7" iPhone 6 Hex Case is well made and form fitting. The case has a rigid plastic shell that fits the iPhone 6 perfectly and it's easy to install and remove. The hard shell has a nice layer of soft touch coating that feels smooth and is kind to the phone. The front cover opens like a book cover and it has elegant "hex" print lining. The interior of the cover feels soft as well and should leave no marks or scratches on the phone's display.

The exterior of the Ted Baker 4.7" iPhone 6 Hex Case is made with smooth faux leather, and it covers both the front flip and the back of the hard shell. Stiff inserts in the flip and the back cover provide extra protection to both the screen and the back of the phone from scratches, bumps, nicks and even some shock damage. To show its design heritage and its "designer" status, the case has Ted Baker London logo in gold embossed at the bottom of the front cover.

Features

The Ted Baker 4.7" iPhone 6 Hex Case offers easy access to all ports and buttons on the new iPhone. The case leaves most of the top and bottom sides open so you have access to the audio jack, mic, Lightning port and speaker easily. The case has two individual cutouts for the silence button and the power button, and a long shared one for the volume buttons. The case doesn't impose on the front display, so it's safe for most screen protectors.

The front cover has magnetic closure which is just strong enough to keep it shut but not so strong that you'd worry about it. The front cover doesn't have a cutout at the earpiece which means you'll need to open the front while talking on the phone. For the rear camera and flash, the case offers a large cutout that's generous enough to give the camera full view and the flash enough room to fully illuminate.

Conclusion

Portfolio style cases are often bulky, but the Ted Baker 4.7" iPhone 6 Hex Case looks impossibly thin yet feels protective. The case can combat scratches and nicks thanks to the magnetic closure that keeps the front cover shut and the strong inserts and the hard shell. The interior has stylish lining and the two available colors are traditional and classy. The faux leather ensures an affordable price and the case offers easy access to everything. The case doesn't offer with a built-in stand nor a front cutout that lets you make calls with the cover shut.
