Logitech Wireless Mouse M320 Review
      #47320 - 11/17/14 07:24 PM

Logitech makes a wide variety of mice from performance gaming mice to touch-scrolling mice to mobile wireless mice. The Logitech Wireless Mouse M320 is the latest asymmetrical mouse that's designed to feel comfortable in your hand and has Logitech Advanced Optical Tracking for smooth and precise control. The M320 also features a wider scrolling wheel and it comes in four color options.

Design

The Logitech Wireless Mouse M320 has a different design from their previous M series wireless mice. The M320 has an asymmetrical design that favors the right-handed users. The 4.15" length, 2.67" width and 1.51" height create a nice bulk that your hand can rest on comfortable as long as you don't have a giant hand. The mouse curves towards the right in the middle, creating a natural thumb rest. The shape of the mouse encourages your hand to relax when resting on it, and the soft rubber surface feels nice in hand.

The Logitech Wireless Mouse M320 has a top plate that splits into a left mouse button and a right mouse button. The surface of the top plate is matte and it doesn't make your fingers slip when you use the mouse buttons. The mouse buttons have audible "clicks" as feedback and they're tuned to make it easy to press. The scroll wheel is wide and has tire treads to prevent slipping when you scroll. A small LED light lives on the top plate and indicates battery power status.

The Logitech Wireless Mouse M320 has an on/off switch on the bottom along with the tracking laser. The M320 also has a battery door and you can use it to replace the AA battery that powers the mouse. The mouse comes with a Alkaline battery that will last you for about a year and a half. The Logitech Wireless Mouse M320 comes in black, red, gray and blue.

Features

The Logitech Wireless Mouse M320 features Logitech Advanced Optical Tracking with a 1000 dpi resolution and the optical light is not visible. For those who've used a Logitech mouse, the M320 has the same precise cursor control and fast response as other mice using the Logitech Advanced Optical Tracking. Even though this is an all-purpose mouse, it can certainly handle FPS games and follow the fast pace action with its high-speed response rate. Unlike the Logitech V500 or the Logitech Cordless Click! Plus mice, the Logitech Wireless Mouse M320 doesn't support scroll wheel tilting.

As with other Logitech wireless products, the Logitech Wireless Mouse M320 connects to your computer via the included Nano receiver. The USB Nano receiver operates on advanced 2.4GHz and it's ultra tiny. The nice thing about it is that you can plug the receiver to any supported machine and the mouse will just work without needing any connectivity setting change. The downside is that for ultrabooks or Windows RT machines that are already port poor, using up a USB port is a big expense. The Logitech Nano receiver worked via all USB hubs we tested, so there's one solution to that problem.

The Logitech Wireless Mouse M320 supports Windows 8, Windows RT (ARM), Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS X 10.5 and newer, Chrome OS and Linux Kernel 2.6 and newer.

Conclusion

If you're a right-handed person and looking for an all-purpose wireless mouse that you can use in the office, home and on the road, the Logitech Wireless Mouse M320 is a good choice. It's very comfortable to use thanks to the contoured design and soft surface. The mouse buttons and scroll wheel are very responsive, and the Logitech's optical tracking technology ensures precise control. We love the price of the M320 and the color options that can match any laptop on the market. The Nano receive does use up a precious port for some Ultrabooks and tablets.
