Moshi iVisor Glass for iPhone 6 Review
      #47673 - 02/06/15 08:55 PM

The Moshi iVisor Glass for smartphones is an ultra strong glass screen protector that can protect your phone's display from scratches, bumps and shock. It's one of the best glass screen protectors we've seen thanks to the edge-to-edge design and the ultra easy way of installation that leaves no chance for bubbles. The Moshi iVisor Glass for iPhone 6 comes in two color options: black and white.

Design

Unlike many glass screen protectors that only cover partially of the iPhone 6's curved front, the Moshi iVisor Glass covers the entire front glass. The iVisor matches the iPhone 6's front perfectly with clear part covering the display, black or white parts covering the bezel. The glass measures 0.3 mm and it's very clear that you won't notice anything on top of the phone's screen. The iVisor has oil-resistance surface coating that does reduce fingerprints considerably, though it feels more slippery than the iPhone 6's screen. The most attractive feature the iVisor offers is the coverage. It covers the entire front glass including the bezel, and it does such a great job that the glass protector looks like a part of the phone's design. We've also tested several cases and none of them has yet popped the screen protector from the edge. The iVisor comes in black bezel version for the black iPhone 6, and white bezel version for the white and gold iPhone 6.

Features

The Moshi iVisor Glass is super strong. According to Moshi, the new IonGlass is atomically strengthened that's even stronger than the last gen tempered glass. We tried using box cutters, keys and sharp tipped screws to scratch the glass, and failed to make any mark let alone damage or destroy it. The glass protector can also help protect the screen from bumps and shock. Everything we threw at it just slipped off. While I wouldn't take a grenade to it, but anything in your purse or bag that might rub against or bump into your phone's screen, the iVisor can protect against it.

Cutout for the Home Button

The Moshi iVisor Glass comes with a suction cup for installation, adopting the idea of glass window installers using suction cups to move glass safely. This is an ingenious idea! It allows you to position the glass easily over the phone without ever having to touch the sticky side of the protector. And once you line up the protector, simply drop it on the phone's screen. There is no bubble whatsoever. The protector has good sensitivity though since it's a bit more slippery than the phone's screen, it might take slightly firmer touches. The iVisor has perfect cutouts for the Home button, the earpiece, front camera and sensors. We had no trouble using the Touch ID in our tests.

Conclusion

The Moshi iVisor Glass for iPhone 6 is easily one of the best glass protectors we've seen. It's ultra strong, extremely easy to install and it's bubble-proof, and most of all, it covers the entire front panel on the iPhone 6 so that you don't see edges of the glass protector on top of your phone. It works with all the cases we've tested, and though it has good sensitivity it might require firmer presses than when you're using the phone's screen.
