For those of you who aren't obsessing on the illusive Apple Watch today, and are instead trying to decide what your next Android phone will be, we bring you our comparison between the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the HTC One M9. These two flagship phone makers have been locked in battle for many years, with one mantra being a constant: Samsung phones are plasticky and HTC One phones are elegant metal. Well, that's no longer the case since Samsung did a lovely and radical redesign with the S6 family, and their glass and aluminum phone is arguably every bit as classy and attractive as the M9.
While HTC took a break on design changes (the One M7, M8 and M9 look quite similar), they've instead opted to upgrade the internals with the latest Snapdragon 810 CPU inside and a new 20 megapixel rear camera. Both phones have octa-core 64 bit CPUs and 3 gigs of RAM. The One M9's screen resolution remains the same as the M8, and in fact it uses the same LCD3 display as the M8, just tuned a little cooler. Samsung meanwhile uses their own very capable Exynos CPU and a new 2560 x 1440 Super AMOLED display. The Galaxy S5 camera was one of the best in the business, and the S6 offers minor tweaks and refinements that keep it best in class for 2015.
There are many more points to consider, particularly for you HTC loyalists trying to decide if a One M9 is in your future. So pull up a chair and watch our Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge vs. HTC One M9 Comparison Smackdown.
