Zipbuds Pro Mic Earphones Review
      #48025 - 05/12/15 06:03 PM

Zipbuds Pro feature a unique zippered cable that will keep your buds absolutely tangle-free. Good sound, and a built-in mic/remote will meet almost everybody's needs. They're far too heavy for running, however.

Size and Fit

The Zipbuds Pro are bulkier than your average earbuds due to the zippered cord. They still roll up small enough to fit in your pocket, however, and are quite comfortable to wear, thanks to the included bag of silicone tips.

Features and Quality

Earbuds are the Schrodinger's Cat of mobile accessories. They aren't tangled when you shove them in your pocket, and once there, they are simultaneously tangled and tangle-free until you try to observe them. That is, of course, where the similarity ends, because when you pull them from your pocket, they will always be tangled. At least Schrodinger's Cat has at least a possibility of surviving. There is a solution, however; Zipbuds. Thanks to their ingenious zippered cord, they will never tangle during storage, even if you hastily shove them into your purse/pocket/backpack without spooling them first. To use them, simply unzip the cable, and use as directed. In addition to this signature feature, the Zipbuds also sport surprisingly good sound for the price, and interchangeable tips (included). The Pro version even has an iPhone compatible mic/remote. It all works quite well, with one caveat. If you're a runner, or engage in similar high-impact activities, you're likely to find the Zipbuds to be far too heavy for them. Even walking at a brisk pace will cause the zipper to bounce and swing, and running with them results not only in being beaten senseless by the swinging zipper, but also having to endure quite a bit of sound interference as a result. It's important to point out here that Zipbuds are not marketed as running earbuds, and with only a small percentage of the population running on a regular basis, I'd say I'm pretty safe in recommending these earbuds to almost everyone who hates tangled cables.

Style

Zipbuds Juiced and Zipbuds Pro are available in black or green, and have a pleasing modern style to them. The back of the buds has a polished metal finish, and their distinctive logo is large and visible.

Summary

If you're tired of tangled earbuds, Zipbuds will likely solve your problem for you. They're not designed for running, however, due to the relatively heavy zippered cord.
