Moshi iGlaze Napa Case for iPhone 6s/6s Plus Review
      #48631 - 09/29/15 05:33 PM

The iGlaze Napa is Moshi's new case designed to look elegant yet provide good protection for the iPhone. The case is available for the iPhone 6/6s and 6 Plus/6s Plus, as well as the LG G4. The Moshi iGlaze Napa is very well made and it comes in four intense colors: Onyx Black, Midnight Blue, Burgundy Red and Caramel Beige.

Design

The Moshi iGlaze Napa case for the iPhone 6s is a fusion of soft interior and tough exterior. The shock-absorbing rubber-like inner shell has a thin layer of microfiber lining that treats the iPhone 6s' back with gentle touches. Outside the inner shell, the case offers stronger polycarbonate casing that protects the sides and the back of the iPhone. Covering the back is a thin layer of vegan leather that feels soft and has fine grained leather look. The case has either silver or gunmetal, depending on color of the back, plastic sides that's not slippery. The hard plastic shell protects the phone from being scratched, scraped and bumped, and also from short drops. This hybrid construction of soft and hard layers fused together gives the iPhone 6s/6s Plus enough protection for daily use, though it doesn't protect against any moisture or water damage. One thing worth noting, though the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are slightly thicker than the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. The iGlaze Napa fits the iPhone 6s/6s Plus just fine.

Features

The Moshi iGlaze Napa case is a very functional case. It's easy to install and reasonably easy to take off. The case covers the power button and the volume buttons to minimize the daily wear and tear. The buttons are easy to use through the case. It has cutouts for the bottom ports that leave the Lightning connector, the speaker, the audio jack and mic open for easy access and let audio through. We had no trouble using Lightning cables and headphones when the iPhone 6s was wearing the case. The rear camera cutout is generous and it gives the flash enough room to fully illuminate. As with other iGlaze cases, the iGlaze Napa has a round cutout on the back to let the Apple logo show through.

The soft inner layer of the case comes out higher than the phone's front display and it protects the front glass when you put the phone face down. The case doesn't come with any screen protector, though in our tests, it worked with all film and glass screen protectors we tried on.

Conclusion

If you're looking for a sturdy shell case that doesn't add much bulk to your new iPhone 6s or 6s Plus, the Moshi iGlaze Napa works well. It accommodates the slightly thicker iPhone 6s' body (compared to the iPhone 6's body), and it protects the phone from scratches and drops. The case looks elegant in all color options and it feels nice in hand. It has all the necessary cutouts and the camera cutout works well for the rear camera and flash. We like the quality of the material and the excellent construction.
