Moshi iGlaze Ion Battery Case Review
      #49027 - 01/15/16 07:22 PM

The Moshi iGlaze Ion Battery Case is a two-piece case that provides both protection and power to the iPhone 6s. For a battery case that can double the runtime of the iPhone 6s, the iGlaze Ion is quite slim. And when you don't need charging, take the battery section off and you've got even a slimmer yet very protective case. The Moshi iGlaze Ion Battery Case is available for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. Sorry, no iPhone 6 Plus or 6s Plus. It comes in two color options: Brushed Titanium and Steel Black.

Design

The Moshi iGlaze Ion Battery Case has a very clever design. It aims to provide two main functions: to protect and to recharge; and it puts the two functions into two separate pieces. The iGlaze Ion comes with a slim but very sturdy shell case that has hard back and frame and soft lining on the interior. It follows the design of Moshi's iGlaze line of cases with a classy-looking faux-brushed metal finish and the rigid back and sides for excellent protection. The battery back matches the color, shape and the look and feel of the iPhone case; and when they're docked together via the Lightning port, they integrate into a seamless piece. The iGlaze case is very easy to install and de-install; and the battery back is easy to dock and disconnect. The iGlaze Ion battery case is one of the easiest battery cases to use and one of the sleekest battery cases we've seen.

Features

The Moshi iGlaze Ion comes with a rechargeable battery that's 2750 mAh in capacity and the output power supports up to 2.1A. The battery can easily fill up an iPhone 6s from empty to full, and it can fast charge the first 35-40% in about 20 minutes. The battery has four LED lights on the back to indicate the power level. You can press the button next to the LEDs anytime to check the level. The battery takes 3.5-4 hours to recharge and it comes with a USB charging cable that works well with the battery case. Since the battery shell adds some depth to the access of the ports, the iGlaze Ion also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack extender plug.

Conclusion

The Moshi iGlaze Ion case for the iPhone 6/6s is very well made and ultra easy to use. We like the two-piece design that keeps the iPhone slim when not charging and nimbble even when it's docked in the battery pack. The case is sleek, (better looking than Apple's new battery pack), and it's also very protective of the phone. The battery offers fast charging for the iPhone 6s and can easily provide a full charge on the go.
