Burkley Wallet Case for iPhone 6/6s Review
      #49402 - 05/10/16 06:59 PM

Burkley offers dozens of iPhone 6/6s cases in different styles, textures and colors. While the case maker is a premium leather shop, the company has also ventured into other fabrics include Jean fabric and even cork, a material that seems to be gaining attraction in furniture as well as accessory. The Burkley Wallet Case comes in several leather color options including Antique Purple/Green/Yellow/Turquoise, Jagged Red, Camel Leather and more, as well as a cork/leather option. It's a light and slim wallet case that also looks classy. The Burkley Wallet Case can protect your iPhone 6s while keeping your credit cards and ID safe. We look at the Special Burn Tan Leather version in this review.

The Burkley Wallet Case has the typical portfolio case with built-in wallet design. The case offers a shell holder for the phone on the right side and a three-card plus a side pocket wallet design on the left. The Burn Tan Leather edition has smooth leather that indeed features a subtle burned tan leather look. The front cover has stiff insert and can protect your phone's screen from jabs and bumps even if you don't store plastic cards in the wallet. The shell case for the phone is made with hard plastic with rubberized interior that's kind to your phone's back. The shell case is very slim and easy to install and de-install. The plastic shell can protect your phone from scratches or bruises that might blemish your iPhone 6s, and it can provide a small amount of drop protection. The corner of the shell case did break in a 6-inch accidental drop on our unit.

The Burkley Wallet Case is one of the slimmest wallet cases we've tested, thanks to the thin shell case and nicely designed wallet. The case has three card slots with curved openings that make it easy for you to slide the cards in and out. The side pocket can hold a few paper bills. The leather cover and the hard shell are molded together in the back, giving you the flexibility of positioning the phone in a landscape stand. The viewing angles are good for watching movies, video chatting and typing on the screen. In addition to the strong insert and sturdy stitching, the leather front cover also offers earpiece cutout holes so that you can make calls without opening the cover. There's also a stylish magnetic closure tab that shuts the case securely and an embossed Burkley logo on the front.

The polycarbonate shell has a perfect cutout for the rear camera/flash/mic cluster, and generous side cutouts for the power and volume buttons as well as the silence slider. The curved cuts on the top and bottom give you easy access to the Lightning port and the audio jack.

Conclusion

With easy access to your phone and a few essentials, the Burkley Wallet Case is a good choice for those who are looking for a case that looks professional yet elegant. It's very slim for a wallet case and it comes in many color options. We like the hassle-free magnetic open and close design and the curved card slot openings that make it easy to slide in and out of your cards. The case has beefy protection in the front cover for the phone's display, though the shell case is a bit thin and a bit too easy to break. In addition to offering easy access to the earpiece, the front cover doubles as a built-in stand.
