(If running XP, unsure about other OS')
Make sure your PDA is in the cradle and ur running activesync
My Computer --> Mobile Device
this should bring you to "MY Documents" folder on the pda. Click on "My Pocket PC" then "Storage Card"
then just copy/paste whatever you like and it'll be stored on the card rather then the pda
hope this works for ya

You can also hit Explore in the ActiveSync window and get to the same place.
