The SD slot on the T-mobile PPC Phone Edition does not support SDIO, which means you can only use the SD cards as storage, not data like Wifi card.

We have reviewed this product as well. Straight from manufacturer's mouth, neither the Socket nor the SanDisk SD WiFi card will work with T-mobile.
