Tungsten E - Conectivity issue

is it possible to hook Tungsten E with the my work LAN or home network thru the sync cable or the IR device. I have seen a number of options under network preferences ,,, i tried a lot but no luck ,,,

You can via the USB cable/cradle. Check out Softick PPP: http://www.synclive.com/ppp/

The Tungsten E, like all current PDAs, should be 1.1.
