This could be just a generic error. Don't see it on our units though. Has any of you contacted PalmOne Support?

I'm also getting a Fatal Alert when searching. I haven't downloaded any new programs. I have had this problem since I got the Tungsten E. When I called Tech Support they were able to fix it for me over the phone. Unfortunately I let my handheld battery run out and had to re-install programs from pc. I have the same problem again. I think it may be a 3rd party issue with the softward that came with it. It could be in Versamail? Does anyone know?

If you are referring to a fatal error when using your device's "global find" function, you may have this problem.

SOLUTION Download a program called FileZ from Palm Source website. This program lists all files on your system. Delete all non-ROM based files named "Web *". Soft reset your TC and it will clear up the issue up.
FYI - This solution works GREAT. I had the same problem, and considering when it cam up I suspected a corrupted cache file of some sort, but didn't know how to get to it. "FileZ" solved the problem.
Thanks!!!
