Check Linksys' web site for firmware updates for your router. Some models needed an update to play with 802.11b PDAs.

I noticed that to get the axim x3i to connect to your linksys router you need to enable the SSID-broadcast. I also hade to play around a bit with the DHCP server and change the number of IP-adresses. Do NOT give the Axim a static IP, it wont work.

Just got a new Axim X30 w/ WiFi, and when I first tried to get onto my home network (running Linksys WRT54G router) I couldn't. I ended up going into the router setup, and disabling all security options. I told it to broadcast the SSID, turned off WEP, and turned off MAC filtering. With a completely open network, the X30 logged in. Then I reenabled the security settings, one at a time, making sure to change each of the X30's settings to match at the same time. This worked. Also make sure your router is set up for the right 802.1_ protocol.
The next day, it started wanting to log in to my neighbor's network, even tho mine was available. Fixed that by changing the channel my broadcasts on (it was the same as his, unbeknownst to me before).
