If your new one does the same thing, try dialing *228 to update the PRL (preferred roaming list) on the Treo. That will make sure your phone has the latest cell phone tower info just in case Sprint made some changes to the network in your area.

I have lost the antenna screw and can not find a replacement. Does anyone have any ideas?

This is apparently a know problem. My 1st phone's speaker went out and I had to return it. fortunately I had purchased a replacment plan with CompUSA
