The mid range X30 would be a great choice and that's a very nice price. You can indeed use a 1 gig card in the X30, and even higher, though 2 gig cards are pricey. You won't need a very fast card unless you're playing on watching videos freqently. Then you'll want a card with very good read speeds. Lexar, Panasonic and ATP cards are some of the fastest and come in large capacities.
