PalmOne isn't going broke as far as anyone knows. In my experience, all that you'll ever get out of PalmOne support is a refurb. Is it to late to return it to the place of purchase? Do you have an extended or replacement warranty plan? If so, they may be a better option. Calling corporate for relief is the last best option, and you've already tried that. Perhaps they will exchange your Zire 72 + some cash for a newer model.
