In the 07 Oct 2005 review for this device "The only thing we didn't like are the faint letters which when lit are white on light silver, offering little contrast". The 25 Jan 2006 review for the Verizon XV6700 compares that device's blue backlight.
My PPC-6700, purchased from a Sprint store on 17 May 2006, has a blue backlight on the slide-out keyboard. Perhaps the review could be updated with a footnote?
