We'll have our reviews of the BlackJack and Dash (plus HTC S620) out this week. Yes, the BlackJack's battery life isn't so hot when you use DirectPush. It does last longer without DirectPush but still is much shorter than the Dash. Though they do give you a 2nd battery and external charger for that battery to help things along. So that evens them out or puts the Samsung somewhat ahead. That is if you don't mind swapping batteries.
