MacWorld News: Griffin Unveiled Evolve Speakers for iPod
      01/09/07 11:12 AM

Griffin Technology today announced the Evolve speaker system for iPod. Here is more info:

Wireless: the next stage in the evolution of desktop audio.

The Evolve speaker system comprises a charging base and two cube-shaped speakers. Talk about stereo separation -- simply place the Evolve cubes wherever you want to hear the music. You can even move them into the next room with you. There are no entangling wires to hassle with.

Each speaker cube has its own long-lived Lithium-Ion battery pack, delivering up to 10 hours of music between charges. Evolve even charges wirelessly: to charge the batteries, just place the speaker on its charging station. There's nothing to plug in, and nothing to unplug when you're ready to deploy the music. Each speaker features its own on/off switch, and an automatic sleep mode to conserve battery charge.

Evolve's speaker enclosures are engineered for expansive sound from a compact footprint. In technical terms, the sound from these speakers will knock your socks off. And so will the clean, elegant industrial design that looks great in any decor.

To complete the wireless picture, Evolve comes with its own RF remote

Evolve is a speaker system with a flat charging base that holds your iPod in a Universal Dock. On either side are charging stations for two cube-shaped speakers, each housing its own long-lived Lithium-Ion battery pack. To charge these speakers, all you have to do is place them on the charging station -- nothing to plug in, nothing to unplug.

Evolve's speaker enclosures are engineered for stellar sound, ease of use, and bang for the buck. The sound you get from this speaker system will knock your socks off -- and so will the sleek industrial design that will look great in any decor.

Evolve features a wireless range of more than 150 feet, allowing users to listen wirelessly, and control the sound wirelessly with the included remote.

Pricing and Availability
Evolve is priced at $349.99 and will be available just in time for the summer season. This new line of speakers and all Griffin products can be found at www.griffintechnology.com
