Good news for you email-addicted Palm Treo 680 and Treo 700p owners: Palm has announced an Exchange ActiveSync update for those devices that adds support for Microsoft Direct Push email. That means push email if you or your company runs an MS Exchange 2003 server with service pack 2. The update will be available as a free download from Palm's web site on Monday. Strangely, it seems to say it won't be available for Cingular customers-- we'll post when we've had that clarified. Windows Mobile Pocket PC phone edition Treo smartphones already have Direct Push support, so this is just for you Palm OS Treo owners with a Treo 680 or Treo 700p.
