Palm has released several important software updates. Here are the details and links to download the updates.
First, Palm has issued a daylight-saving time (DST) software update.
New Daylight Saving Time Changes Beginning in 2007, Daylight Saving Time (DST) starts on the second Sunday in March (March 11, 2007), and changes back to standard time on the first Sunday in November (November 4, 2007). This is a change from the current start/end date that is built into some Palm devices.
Palm devices, both smartphones and handhelds, need to be updated so that they reflect the correct time when the new DST changes take effect. Without the Daylight Saving Time Updates, calendar events and email messages will indicate an hour off the actual time in locations that observe DST.
Second, Palm has issued a software update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 on Windows XP and Windows Vista.
If you use Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 on Windows XP or Windows Vista, you'll need this update to perform HotSync operations with Outlook's Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes, as well as optional non-wireless Email sync.
The software on this page is added to existing installations of Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager.
Third is an update on Windows Vista support that includes Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager compatibility with Windows Vista, Outlook 2007 compatibility with Windows Vista and Palm Windows Mobile smartphone compatibility with Windows Vista.
