I always tell folks that they iPhone is nothing price-wise compared to some imports, unlocked phones and high end PDA phones purchased without a contract extension .
The Nokia E90, which is much more phone-like than the HTC Advantage, came out last month for over $1,300 and is now around a $1,000! The LG Prada used to sell for $850, until the iPhone came out (then everyone wanted to the iPhone instead). But to be fair to the Advantage, it's more of a notebook-replacement than a regular PDA phone.
