Lots of folks who purchased the 8 gig iPhone for $599 only to see the price drop by $200 yesterday (just 2 months after release) were mighty upset. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, has posted an open letter on the Apple web site stating that he and Apple heard those complaints and will provide early adopters who purchased the iPhone at it's initial release price a $100 store credit that's good at the Apple online store and at Apple retail locations. They still have to work out all the details on this, according to Jobs' letter posted here: http://www.apple.com/hotnews/openiphoneletter/ .
Good move, Apple!
