Qualcomm, maker of the CPUs in many smartphones (particularly Windows Mobile), along with CDMA and EVDO radios among other things now wants a hand in the graphics inside your favorite mobile phone. They've made a deal to acquire handheld graphics processors and multimedia assets from AMD. AMD owns ATI, so this means ATI mobile graphics chipsets and associated intellectual property.
