Microsoft has announced a temporarily reduced price for Windows 7 Home Premium edition, available in limited quantities for customers who pre-order before July 11.
Owners of any version of Windows Vista or Windows XP can pre-order now to secure the special price of $49.99 for Windows 7 Home Premium edition. The deal is only available via certain online retailers, including Amazon and Best Buy.
Windows 7 is expected to be released on October 22. After July 11, the regular upgrade price will be $119.99.
