Today HTC announced two powerful new Android smartphones that put important information at your fingertips in a new and innovative way. With a 4.3" touchscreen, eight megapixel camera with dual flash, and Dolby/SRS sound, the HTC Desire HD packs impressive features in a streamlined unibody aluminum frame. Additionally, the HTC Desire HD is the first device to featured HTC's Fast Boot which shortens the power up sequence of the device so you can make calls and check emails quicker.
Also new to the HTC family, the HTC Desire Z helps you stay connected to those most important through fully integrated social media and email channels. A slide out QWERTY keyboard offers an additional input option beyond the touchscreen. The HTC Desire Z also features a five megapixel camera with automatic flash.
At the backbone of both the HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z is the new HTC Sense experience with a series of updates. For example, a revised camera application now allows for HD video recording and real time editing of pictures. HTC Location brings instant maps to your mobile device without the need to download large amounts of data while roaming. One of the largest additions comes in the form of HTCSense.com which lets you manage your phone from any computer. HTCSense.com makes it easier to locate a misplaced phone and allows you to completely clear all personal information in the event the phone is lost or stolen. The site also makes it easier to transfer information from device to device.
The new HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z will be broadly available through mobile operators and retailers across major European and Asian markets from October 2010 with the HTC Desire Z shipping in North America later this year.
