I am attempting to install Windows Vista (then upgrade to Win7 since I only have an upgrade for Win7) on a dedicated 2nd HDD i just installed in my 2010 17" MacBook Pro (OSX 10.6.5). I found this article on this site (http://www.mobiletechreview.com/editorials/Vista-on-Mac.htm) that talks about creating partitions on single drives using Boot Camp and it's not working quite the same for me. Steps: launch Boot Camp, Create Partition on 2nd HDD (having it erase and format) then the system reboots (I'm assuming this is normal having no experience) and it basically boots to the stander white/gray Apple logo screen where the logo is periodically replaced by a circle with a slash through it and never really does anything. I've let that go on for 20 minutes thinking it was doing "something" to no avail. What am I missing? When I next boot back to OSX, the drive is no longer mountable and I have to format using disk utility and start the same process all over again with the same results. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
