Let's be honest, Toshiba's Tecra series of business notebooks were the collective poster child for chunky monkey notebooks. That's all changed, and the Tecra R850 is one slim and good looking notebook that takes a page from the sexy Toshiba Portege R705 that won our Editor's Choice award last year.
We look at the high end model with a second generation Intel Core i7 CPU and AMD Radeon HD 6450M dedicated graphics with 1 gig of VRAM. This business notebook is capable of some serious gaming! In fact, we video it playing some demanding 3D titles like Mass Effect 2. The notebook has a matte 1366 x 768 display, 4 gigs of DDR3 RAM, a DVD drive, a DisplayPort and Intel WiFi 802.11n. It weighs 5.3 lbs. and averages 1" thickness.
