What's Hot: Sturdy on the outside, soft on the inside, great padding.

What's Not: No shoulder strap option.

Timbuk2 earned its reputable for making high quality bags with their eye-catching urban-style backpacks and messenger bags, now they are using these great material and designs for the iPad and the iPad 2. The Timbuk2 Plush Sleeve for the iPad and iPad 2 is a padded sleeve case that fits the original iPad or the iPad 2 with a Smart Cover snuggly. You can also use the Plush Sleeve for a naked iPad 2 and it fits the thin tablet just fine. This is the 3rd generation of Plush Sleeve case and it comes in two colors: gunmetal and barley.

The Timbuk2 Plush Sleeve for iPad and iPad 2 has a water resistant ballistic fabric that?s very strong and durable and can protect your iPad 2 from slashing, poking, bump and bruising in a bag or a suitcase. Below the ballistic fabric exterior, the Plush Sleeve has a layer of padding that?s made of high density memory foam. The padding is quite thick yet soft when you squeeze it, and will help absorb a great amount of shock to protect your tablet. On the inside the Plush Sleeve has a layer of very smooth and soft faux fur that feels like soft fur and will protect your iPad 2 from scratches. All three layers of protective materials are sewn together with a diamond style double stitching and edge-capped to prevent running.

The Plush Sleeve has three large Velcro tabs for closure and they feel strong and securely hold the iPad 2 in the sleeve. Size-wise, it?s quite easy to slide in or take out the original iPad or the iPad 2; with the iPad 2 in a Smart Cover, the Plush Sleeve feels a little snug. Like with other Timbuk2 products, the Plush Sleeve uses color to bring out the style of the case. The gunmetal sleeve has a lime green color stitching and black edges while the barley sleeve has purple stitching and edges.

The Timbuk2 Plush Sleeve provides great protection for your iPad or iPad 2 yet it doesn?t look very bulky and weighs only 5.4 oz. The Timbuk 2 case doesn?t have metal material in it, and is TSA approved which means you can leave your iPad 2 in the sleeve while going through airport security checkpoints. The case is water and dirt resistant and you can even wipe it clean with a damp cloth. The Timbuk2 Plush Sleeve is designed for you to carry the tablet in your hand while in the case, or in your backpack or large bag with your other gear. There isn?t any strap holder for you to carry it over your shoulder.

If you are looking for a protective sleeve that has high quality material, a sturdy build and a nice style, the Timbuk2 Plush Sleeve is hard to beat. While the exterior of the case feels rugged the interior feels incredibly soft. The thick memory foam padding is a unique design, and the diamond stitching not only binds the material together but also gives the sleeve a nice style. If you are already a fan of Timbuk2 bags and are looking for something slim to carry your iPad 2 around the office or in your backpack around town or on a trip, the Plush Sleeve won?t disappoint!
