Verizon and HTC have been advertising the HTC Rhyme heavily, and even if you don't dig the many-armed woman zoning on this Android smartphone's Karmic bliss, it's a solid phone. Not only that, it accessorizes well, and a charging cradle with speaker, tangle-free earbuds and a lighted charm are in the box for $199. The phone comes in a pleasing plum color, and though it's marketed to women, the hue isn't overtly feminine (it's guy-friendly).
The phone runs Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread on a 1GHz single core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, and it has a 3.7" 800 x 480 LCD. It's very pocketable compared to today's 4.3" and above smartphones, and it feels pleasing in the hand. It has 3G EV-DO Rev. A on Verizon's network, and it runs HTC Sense 3.5 that's been customized just a bit to make things more newbie friendly. It's available now on Verizon for $199 on contract.
