What's Hot: Slim, nicely built, provides good protection.

What's Not: You do need to take it out for accessing some buttons, rear camera and syncing/charging.

WaterField Designs introduced 5 case models for the new iPhone 4S ranging from a wallet to a sleeve, a travel case and a slim jacket case, the iPhone Hint. The iPhone Hint is a leather case with a clear front window and an elastic pocket on the back. It's a top loading sleeve style case that's slim and easy to use.

WaterField Designs is known for making different style cases and bags that you usually see on the market, the iPhone Hint is no exception. The case is designed for those who want to carry their phone and a couple of credit cards with some bills, easy and fast to grab while you are running out the door. It's not an exactly form fitting case for the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4, but it's the right size to store the phone without adding the bulk of a bummer case. Once you slide the iPhone 4S into the case, you can see the screen via the front plastic window and use the phone through it.

On the back of the case, you will find an elastic nylon pocket, big enough for a couple of cards and a couple of bills. The leather pieces are thick and the case lines the inside with soft suede like linning, so it won't scratch your iPhone 4S while putting it in or taking it out of the case. The case has some stitching. You don't have to worry about the case might come apart anytime soon. The clear plastic is also reasonably thick and should withstand some wear and tear. The iPhone Hint looks subtle in naturally tanned brown leather with black back pocket. It also comes in black.

The iPhone Hint case from WaterField Design has a simple sleeve design. It's great if you are out running or take a quick trip to the store. You can access the screen and the audio out jack without taking the phone out of the case. But if you need to access the volume controls, sync or charge the phone, or make phone calls without a headset, then you will need to take the phone out of the case. One nice thing about the iPhone Hint is that it's very slim. When you take the phone out, the case adds very little bulk in your pocket or bag; and you can still use it as a slim wallet.

The iPhone Hint is design to fit the iPhone 4S in a slim case and acts like a slim wallet for credit cards and bills, and it achieves that nicely. The case is subtle yet very sturdy. You can use your phone's screen while in the case, and make phone calls with a headset (wired or wireless). The leather case has nice padding on the bottom and seriously stitched corners, and will protect your phone from drops and bumps. For users who want to carry their phone and some essentials (ID, credit car and cash) for running and quick trips around the corner, the iPhone Hint can bring all in one case and in style.
