Griffin Moxy Case Series for iPhone 5 takes the jungle themed and exotic design to a brand new level. Coming in six different patterns and colors that imitate animal skins, these cases have unique look and texture that make them stand out from the crowd. The Moxy case is super slim and extremely light. It's form fitting to the iPhone 5 and it's very easy to install and take off. The case offers two layers of protection and easy access to all ports and buttons. We are using the black Python in this review.

Design

The Griffin Moxy Case Series for the iPhone 5 is slim yet doesn't feel too filmy. The case has a polycarbonate hard shell that feels reasonably rigid. On the back exterior, the case is covered with a thin layer of synthetic leather. The synthetic leather is molded onto the hard shell and has texture that makes it easy to handle the case. Though it covers the back of the case, the synthetic leather doesn't cover the sides, leaving the more slippery plastic sides exposed. On the interior, the Moxy case has a very nice layer of soft touch coating. It won't scratch your iPhone 5 on the back or leave any marks.

The Moxy Python black case looks classy and weighs only 0.6 oz. The case can certain protect your iPhone 5 from scratches, nicks and bumps when you store it in your bag, and provides some shock protection as it covers most of the corners on the phone. The case wraps around on the two long vertical sides and covers the very edges of the phone, and it will protect the screen when you put the phone face down as the sides of the case will touch the surface. The Moxy doesn't come with any screen protector however.

Features

The Griffin Moxy Series Case for the iPhone 5 offers convenient access to all ports and buttons. The case has a long side cutout that exposes the silence button and the volume buttons. Since the case leaves most of the top and the bottom side of the iPhone 5 open, you have complete access to the power button, the Lightning port and the audio jack. The mic and speaker are also exposed to let sound through. The rear camera cutout is perfectly aligned with the cluster, and gives the camera lens full view and the flash to fully illuminate. The case is so slim that your iPhone 5 should have no trouble fitting in audio accessories while in this case.

Conclusion

If you're looking for an ultra-slim case with a fashion statement, the Griffin Moxy Series Case for the iPhone 5 is a good fit. It has unique look and it's very slim and light. The case is more durable than the thin body looks with hard shell and both exterior and interior add-ons. The case is super functional since all buttons, ports and cameras are in plain view. Two things to consider though, the plain plastic sides are bit slippery and it doesn't include a screen protector.
