THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CLASSES OF ALDON'S CROSSING
      05/21/04 09:06 PM

Fighters
A fighter prides himself on his martial prowess. Skilled in the use of almost all armor and weapons, the fighter is the barbarian in the mountains, the soldier on the field, or the mercenary defending the caravan.

Having forgone all magical training he is not able to cast spells, instead the fighter relies on his training, strength, vitality, and dexterity for survival and victory

Mages Priests
Knowledge is power, or so the old adage goes. Mages take that maxim to a whole new level with their knowledge on how to create magical energies and summon incredible beasts.

Since the Mage spends most of their time completely devoted to thier studies, they have almost completely negelected any martial training. Mages are only able to wear the most limited of armor, and may only use a few simple weapons, but this usually concerns the Mage not at all, since Mages who reach maturity have been known to destroy entire armies with their spells, or summon a powerful demon to rend their foes.

Priests
A pious warrior of holiness and truth. The priest is able to fight with both brawn and magic, though their magic is derived from their holy benefactor and not from arcane knowledge. The priest is especially effective at destroying and commanding the undead, as they are especially vulnerable to the priest's holiness.

Able to wear most armor, the priest is only limited in the weapons they can wield, as the use of edged weapons is an affront to their desire to protect life, the priest restricts himself to the weapons of defense: maces, flails, and hammers, and slings.

Thieves
Shadows and stealth are a thief's best friends. The thief prefers sneaking and a quick jab in the back with a sharp dagger, rather than a direct confrontation.

As the only class with the ability to hide in shadows, move silently, pick locks, and backstab, the thief is a formidable yet subtle foe. Due to their need for speed and stealth, the thief is limited in what armors and weapons they can use, though they do excel with all ranged weapons. Thieves never look down on a healthy dose of good luck either.
