I can?t stand when they can?t DELLiver

After waiting for my Dell Axim x51v for nearly three weeks I receive a product that is nonfunctional right out of the box.
The buttons on the front do not work even though all lock functions (hard and soft)are disabled and the unit is soft reset x number of times as recommended in the very short user manual. I regret leaving HP for this shamelessly low quality product.
Do they expect me to recommend Dell handhelds to my colleagues?
I have tried to perform a hard reset but this requires confirmation using the non functional buttons...
I mean, honestly, - the only thing that the company does is design the shell and assemble parts produced by others using software by others (WM5). Why can?t they get that right?
I expect to have to wait yet another three weeks or more to get this fixed.
Is this typical of the Dell universe?
