e405 - test infrared port?

I just purchased a Belkins Wireless PDA keyboard which is listed as working with the e405. But mine is not.

Driver installed fine and software is working. Before I blame keyboard

, I want to make sure it's not my pocketPC. Is there any way to test to see if the infrared port is working?
