Video review: Motorola Defy tough T-Mobile Android phone
      11/18/10 04:35 PM

Are the the kind of guy or gal whose dropped a phone or two in the pool? White water raft much? Simply work in dusty and wet locations? That doesn't mean you can't have a slick Motorola Android smartphone. The Motorola Defy is dust and water resistant (we rinsed it off in the sink when it got grimy no problem). It has rubber covers over all ports and a pretty good back battery cover seal, yet it looks cool and isn't heavy at 4.6 ounces.

The Defy's hardware specs are reminiscent of last year's Droid: an 800MHz ARM7 CPU, 480 x 854 pixel multi-touch display, Android OS 2.1 and a 5 megapixel camera. The phone runs Motorola's MOTOBLUR in full regalia, unlike the Droid. This is Motorola's social networking oriented software suite that assaults the desktop with myriad widgets (that you can remove to regain space and sanity). The phone sells for $99 with contract-- not bad for the beefy specs and rugged design.

Here's our video review of the Motorola Defy:
