HTC Inspire 4G Video Review
      02/04/11 07:32 PM

It's about time the Samsung Captivate had some company in ATT's high end Android smartphone lineup. The HTC Inspire 4G is just that with a 1GHz second generation Snapdragon CPU that's plenty fast even if it's not dual core. Top that off with a sharp 4.3" 800 x 480 display and HSPA+ 4G (or semi-4G depending on your view and big blue's progess in rolling out HSPA+ in your area) and you've got an incredibly sweet phone for only $99 with contract.

The Inspire 4G looks similar to the HTC HD7 and the older HTC HD2, and that's a good thing: those are gorgeous phones made with high quality materials. The unibody metal alloy body looks contemporary yet timeless and firmly says this is a seriously nice handset.

The HTC Inspire 4G runs Android OS 2.2 Froyo with HTC Sense software (the latest version with all the new goodies), and it continues to be our favorite manufacturer customization of Android. The Inspire has an FM radio, 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth and a GPS that works with Google Maps and Navigation as well as AT&T Navigator.

So far, we're really impressed with this phone, especially for the low price. If you're not holding out for the Motorola Atrix with its $199 price tag, the HTC Inspire is worth a serious look.
