What's Hot: Works with most tablets, folds flat and lightweight.

What's Not: It's not as sturdy as other tablet stands.

Tablet buyers don't usually think about getting a stand until the first time they need to watch a movie or surfing the web while eating breakfast. There are several stand products as well as cases with built-in stands on the market. The Bracketron iTilt is a very simple tablet stand that works with any tablet, and it's slim and lightweight enough to carry with you while traveling. The iTilt stand supports portrait and landscape orientations for most tablets on the market.

The Bracketron iTilt Universal Tablet Stand has a simple design: the plastic stand has a metal mount that can lock into one of the 8 slots to create different viewing angles, and it folds back flat when not in use. The iTilt has a sturdy rectangular frame that can hold small or large tablets in either portrait or landscape orientation. The bottom of the stand has rubber feet to prevent slipping on smooth surfaces. We tested the iTilt stand with tablets such as the Vizio 8? Android tablet, the 10.1? iPad 2, the Asus Eee Slate EP121 12.1? tablet and more, the stand held all of them steadily on a table. The iTilt stand measures 6.71 x 5.93 x 0.53 inches and weighs 4 ounces.

Though lightweight, the Bracketron iTilt stand has a wide tablet holder that can accommodate most tablets with different thicknesses. The tablet holder also has rubber pieces at the bottom where the tablet stands in, and the top where the tablet rests on. These rubber pieces prevent the tablet slipping in the stand and make sure that the plastic frame won?t scratch on the tablets. The more spacious tablet holder also allows many tablet models to stand in it while in a reasonably slim case.

Asus Eee Slate EP121 12.1" tablet:

The center of the Bracketron iTilt Universal Tablet Stand has 8 grooves that can create different viewing angles for the tablet. Since the plastic has some flexibility, you can push the metal wire mount into the groove until it?s ?locked in?. The stand feels stable when the metal mount is locked in, and the metal mount also has rubber feet to prevent slipping.

The Bracketron iTilt Universal Tablet Stand is a good choice for using on a desk or breakfast table as well as traveling with it and using it on the road. The stand is reasonably well built with plastic frame and metal stand. Tablets can stand in either portrait or landscape and in 8 viewing angles in each orientation. For a lightweight tablet stand, the iTilt can hold fairly large 12.1? tablets and it folds flat for easy storing or carrying in your gear bag.
