Sony Tablet S Cradle Review
      09/26/11 01:35 PM

There's a lot we like about the Sony Tablet S 9.4" Android Honeycomb tablet, but the charging connector isn't something we love. Enter the Sony Tablet S Cradle from Sony, with an easy docking connector that takes the pain out of charging your tablet.

The $39.99 cradle isn't well represented on Sony's website, and the box is sealed at the store, so you can't really get a good look at it. We're here to help: the cradle is as long as the tablet in landscape mode and it's attractive, weighty and well made (it's got that Sony quality look). The tablet looks good sitting in the cradle and there are two positions so you can adjust the tilt. You'll plug the charger that came with your tablet into the cradle, and then drop the tablet into the slot. It's easy and there's no fiddling as there is with the charger connection directly to the tablet.

There are no additional ports or speakers on the cradle, it's sole jobs in life are to charge your tablet, act as a two position stand and automatically run you choice of the desk clock, slideshow or Chumby apps.

Here's our short Sony Tablet S Cradle video review:
