What's Hot: Neat pattern design, rigid silicone, and good color options.

What's Not: Camera cutout is too large, no screen protector included.

Among the newly released iPhone 4S cases from iLuv, the Aurora case stands out with its neat pattern design and its glow-in-the-dark feature. This silicone case is light and easy to use, and comes in two tone color combos. The iLuv Aurora case for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S is form fitting and functional with appropriated cutouts for buttons and ports. It's also well made, and feels more rigid than some soft silicone cases.

The iLuv Aurora Case for iPhone 4S has two layers with the luminescent layer as the foundation and interior, and another layer of silicone paints the exterior and the covers the sides of the iPhone 4S. The iLuv Aurora Case comes in three color options with two of them having more light, pastel colors (white and sap green; sky blue with pink) and the most striking looking one, yellow green with black exterior.

The yellow green part of the case glows a bit in the dark if you charge it enough, though the glow isn't nearly as strong as the MoonSkins it does help a bit with find it in the dark. The iLuv Aurora Case feels more rigid than soft silicone cases like the Monsta case, and the soft silicone material feels nice in hand. The case is flexible and it's easy to put it on and take it off of the iPhone 4S. The iLuv Aurora Case covers all four sides of the iPhone 4 and should provide some shock protection from drops and bumps. The silicone case also wraps around the sides and covers the front edges of the iPhone 4, so when you put the phone face down on a table, the case touches the surface instead of your phone's display.

The iLuv Aurora Case has cutouts for open ports on the iPhone 4S including the 30-pin connector, bottom mic and speaker, side slider for silencing the ringer and the audio out jack and mic on top of the phone. These cutouts align perfectly with the ports. The side cutout for the silence button works with both AT&T and Verizon versions of the iPhone 4. The power button and the volumes are under the silicone cover, but they are easy to use thanks to the raised silicone buttons.

The only cutout that looks a bit odd is the rear camera/flash cutout: it's unusually large. You should have no trouble using the camera with the flash fully illuminated, but the cutout also leaves out some space below the camera/flash positions, exposing the back to the risk of being scratched by pointy objects in your bag or backpack. And unlike the iLuv Clipper Leatherette case, the iLuv Aurora Case for iPhone 4S doesn't come with any protective film for the front of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

The iLuv Aurora Case for iPhone 4/4S is a very attractive silicone case that provides good protections for your phone. The case is well made with soft silicone and feels more rigid and better at keeping its shape. The design looks great and the case is very functional, and we love the three dual tone color options. Two minor problems that come with the case: the camera cutout is overly large and no screen protector included with the case.
