Moshi has released a slim hard shell case for the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone, the iGlaze. You can find these cases in most ATT retail stores in the U.S. and online stores. The iGlaze hard shell case is a form fitting thin shell case that covers the back of the Galaxy S III and comes in four colors: graphite black, pearl white, tyrian purple and arctic blue colors.

Design

The Moshi iGlaze hard shell case has a minimalistic design. The hard shell has perfect fit for the Galaxy S III phone, contouring the curves of the back and sides, and covering all corners. The case is very slim, measuring only 0.4" in thickness, and has flexibility that allows you to put the phone in the case and take it out easily. The hard shell case has a soft touch coating that won't scratch the surface of your Galaxy S III and also gives you a much better grip than the slippery surface of the phone. The case covers the entire back, two long vertical sides (minus the cutouts), all corners and the most of the top and bottom sides. The case wraps around the sides and corners but stop short ever so slightly beyond the display glass, and when you rest the face down, the case touches the surface first to keep the phone from resting on its screen.

The iGlaze hard shell case for the Samsung Galaxy S III comes in four colors. The soft coating ensures that the surface of the cases, in any color, won't be as shiny and reflective as the Galaxy S III. The iGlaze case doesn't come with any screen protection, but it works with Moshi's iVisor screen protector which is sold separately.

Features

The Moshi iGlaze for Galaxy S III is a super functional case. The case offers generous side cutouts for the power button and volume rocker and rear cutouts for the camera, flash and speakerphone. The camera cutout has slightly raised edges to keep the lens off when you rest the phone on its back. Nice! The case has tapered cuts on the top and bottom that skillfully leaves out the audio jack, sync/charge port and both top and bottom microphones. The tapered design looks pleasing, but it does leave the front edge of the phone on the top and bottom vulnerable.

Conclusion

The Moshi iGlaze hard shell case for the Galaxy S III is very well designed and machined case that's ultra slim and light. The soft touch surface feels nice and gives the phone a better grip. The case is easy to use and gives you access to all ports and buttons. There are some very nice touches in design including the slightly raised front edges that separate the screen from surface when the phone is face down, and the raised camera cutout edges to keep the lens off surface when the phone is face up. We like the color selections and the non-reflective coating. The case doesn't come with any screen protection, but you can get the Moshi iVisor screen protector separately or as a bundle package with the case.
